MerlinOne Features Workflow at the Henry Stewart DAM Conference

Quincy, MA, Sept 13 – MerlinOne is showcasing the latest MerlinX release of its digital asset management solution at the Henry Stewart DAM conference in Chicago September 13. The newest release includes enhanced video editing, a new commenting UI, a powerful workflow engine and an auto-tagging feature.

Merlin is based on a modular, plug-in architecture. Every toolbar button, palette, content view, and administration panel is a separate plug-in, so adding and removing workflow tools is easy. As part of the interface, users may customize their experience by rearranging palette items, open the items they most use, and hide items they do not need.

Video handling just got easier. Users can mark and export video clips with Merlin’s browser-no need for a special video editor. Merlin video tools make it easy to search video by annotations or even the spoken word. Find the video fast, then use Merlin to export a clip or frame to your website or social media.

To help companies with collaboration and approval, a new commenting UI was introduced that visually portrays a discussion thread. With Merlin Workflow Engine, email alerts or other actions such as distribution may get triggered based on users’ specific comments.

Merlin is a complete digital asset management system that allows users to organize millions of photos, multimedia files, graphics, stories, PDF files and Office documents using fast, precise searching with easy and flexible drag-and-drop workflows. Its user interface is intuitive enough for novice users, yet has great depth for power users. Merlin is available as either licensed software or as a hosted (SaaS) solution.
