Quincy, MA, Nov. 1, 2013 – MerlinOne will unveil their new Merlin X web client, versioning, and enhanced video editing features at the Henry Stewart DAM show in Los Angeles, November 14-15.
Merlin X’s web client is based on a modular, plug-in architecture. Every toolbar button, palette, content view, and administration panel is a separate plug-in, so adding and removing workflow tools is easy. As part of the interface, users may customize their experience by rearranging palette items, open the items they most use, and hide items they do not need. The three-column default design may be collapsed to two columns or even a single column if desired. And palettes may be put anywhere.
MerlinOne also adds versioning to Merlin X, with a simple easy-to-use check in/out and replace tool. Users may be restricted to only the most recent version or, if workflow requires, previous versions, but will be unable to download them without the right privileges. Versioning is flexible and easy.
Video handling just got easier. You can mark and export video clips with the Merlin power user client-no need for a special non-linear editor. Merlin video tools make it easy to search video by annotations or even the spoken word. Find the video fast, then use Merlin to export a clip or frame to your website or social media.
